“Sun/Rain takes the listener on a journey. Inspired by the weather in Melbourne over summer, the music depicts those sunny days that become muggy, humid, full of tension, and end with big fat raindrops bouncing off warm concrete. Diving into the world of synthesised sound, the Clariloops project has expanded over the past few months to explore how the organic sound of the clarinet can work with electronic production. This set was recorded and produced in Ruby’s home in Melbourne, Australia.

Clariloops is the project of Australian neo-classical/electronic artist Ruby Lulham. Combining the sound of her clarinet with effects pedals and synthesised sound, Ruby experiments with electronics to create music that is unique yet familiar, existing between genres. The project started as a way of bringing stillness and creativity into Ruby’s classical music practice. The resulting sounds are rhythmic and calming, providing accompaniment to people’s movements and thoughts without intrusion."

Inspirada por el clima de Melbourne durante el verano, la música representa esos días soleados que se vuelven bochornosos, húmedos, llenos de tensión y terminan con grandes gotas de lluvia que rebotan en el concreto cálido. Al sumergirse en el mundo del sonido sintetizado, el proyecto Clariloops se ha expandido durante los últimos meses para explorar cómo el sonido orgánico del clarinete puede funcionar con la producción electrónica. Este set fue grabado y producido en la casa de Ruby en Melbourne, Australia.

Clariloops es el proyecto de la artista australiana neoclásica/electrónica Ruby Lulham.
